Brickvention is a volunteer-run, Australian-based convention and public display for LEGO® fans. It is a two-day event that brings together LEGO fans of all ages from all over Australia to view original and unusual creations built by Australian modelers and collectors. So, if you love LEGO, come along and view the amazing creations and models made out of LEGO.

The event features a huge collection of LEGO models including trains, castles, pirate ships, Star Wars™, space ships, planes, buildings, sculptures and many more. There will also be competitions and LEGO sets and merchandise for sale.

The next Brickvention will be held over the weekend of 16th and 17th January 2016 at The Royal Exhibition Building, Nicholson Street, Carlton, Victoria, where anyone can come along and view the amazing creations made out of LEGO. A convention day will be held on the 15th January for exhibitors and interested AFOLs.

LEGO fans of all ages are welcome on the Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 5:30pm.

The Royal Exhibition Building is one of the world's oldest remaining exhibition pavilions. On 1 July 2004, it became the first building in Australia to achieve a World Heritage listing.

Located in Carlton Gardens, the pavilion was originally completed in 1880 for the first of two international fairs hosted by Melbourne. On May 1st, 1901, the initial Commonwealth Parliament was held here, an event commemorated in 2001, the centenary of Australian Federation.

Today, with its meticulously restored interior, expansive galleries and soaring dome, the Great Hall offers an impressive setting for trade shows, fairs and cultural and community events.

Cyclists
CyclistsLocal bicycle facilities include bike lanes on Rathdowne St and Canning St. There is also a shared pedestrian/bike path on Nicholson St. Bicycle racks on the Plaza provide ample bike parking just outside the front door.

Car Park
The Melbourne Museum undercover car park is open from 6.00am to midnight daily. Enter via Rathdowne Street or Nicholson Street.

There is wheelchair access to the Royal Exhibition Building via the northern entry, opposite the Melbourne Museum entrance, with lift access to all levels. Wheelchairs are available at Melbourne Museum cloak room for Royal Exhibition Building tour use.
